The Dark Knight Rises
The most anticipated movie of the summer, has somehow been overshadowed by a dark cloud that will forever be associated with it's premiere. The Colorado Massacre, which left 12 people dead, and number of other innocent people injured has taken that excitement and in it's place has left sadness. Those people will forever be remembered, and their families will stay in our prayers. The movie, and only the movie is what shall be rated here.
The third movie in the Batman series, had a tall task living up to the hype. Especially after the "Dark Knight" where Heath Ledger played an unforgettable role as the Joker. Although that movie in itself was an all-time classic, this movie did not let fans down. This movie does not have the same amount of action we've seen in the prior two, but the story writing and ability of the writers to tie everything together with this last film was quite impressive. Although it might be a little difficult to understand for fans, who may have never seen the first two.
The film still delivered enough suspense to keep movie goers at the edge of their seats, and although Bane (the bad guy) is no joker, he still delivers an excellent performance. A performance filled with unforgettable quotes, and a voice and mask that will be remembered for years to come. This movie is one of the best I've seen all summer and I've seen a lot. With that being said I give the movie a 4 out of 5 stars.
